Startups are irreplaceable for the industry as creative think tanks. DEKRA is therefore awarding a winner in the category of the same name for the first time this year. Young companies whose business models represent innovative solutions in the areas of safety at work, in traffic and at home are sought as a new cross-sectional category in the application. The digital economy platform “Gründerszene” received the award as a network partner.

The new category also adds one new member to the jury: Carlos Bhola, Co-Founder of Circ and Managing Partner at Celsius Capital, is a new member. “This new category means that young, innovative start-ups do not have to compete with the budgets and processes of established companies. We can imagine the applicants for the award being accepted into the DEKRA Next Incubator,” said Dr Kerim Galal, Executive Vice President for Strategy and Innovation at DEKRA.

Among all applicants, an internal and external panel of experts decided on the nominations. Crashtest Security, Logical Safety and Serinus won the race. During a live pitch, during which each startup had three minutes to convince the jury of its innovation, the audience selected the winner. Our sincere congratulations go to the winner Serinus.

A lightning strike in the data center, flooding in your region, an emergency in production – if the worst case occurs, it’s good to be prepared. Serinus, a smart event communication platform, was developed for this purpose. With the web-based solution, the user retains an overview in critical situations and can alert, inform and coordinate all key players quickly and easily. This is done via a central emergency and crisis dashboard, optionally via voice call, SMS, mobile app, e-mail, subsystem or fax. The functions are individually tailored to the customer. Serinus also offers a comprehensive security and backup concept for data security. The possible applications can be transferred to a wide variety of industries and areas. Serinus now has 30,000 platform users, 30 sales partners and over 150 end customers. The first international projects have already been successfully implemented.
